KalshiEX Files For Perpetual Futures Linked To 58 Stocks And ETFs
KalshiEX has filed proposed listing standards for perpetual security futures tied to 58 stocks and exchange-traded funds, published on September 18 under SEC File No. SR-KALSHIEX-2026-02. The products are not live, as CFTC approval is still pending. Perpetual futures, common in crypto trading, allow contracts to remain open without a fixed expiration date. Applying this model to US-listed stocks and ETFs represents a significant expansion. The filing establishes a proposed framework but does not make the contracts available for trading immediately. The CFTC has not yet approved the proposed rule change, and the filing serves as a formal proposal for regulators and market participants to review. If approved, this structure could blur traditional boundaries between prediction markets, derivatives exchanges, and crypto-style perpetual trading. Currently, KalshiEX's proposal remains procedural, with regulatory approval still pending.
