Strive Expected to Raise $55 Million Through SATA Preferred Stock, Enough to Purchase 638 Bitcoins
Strive's SATA preferred stock is expected to raise approximately $55 million in the week ending October 5, based on a Bitcoin price of about $82,800, which is sufficient to purchase around 638 Bitcoins. The total trading volume of SATA for the week is approximately $317 million. The trading price of SATA was above its par value of $100 for most of Monday and Tuesday, but fell below par value from Wednesday to Friday, leading to an expected pause in the issuance activity. An 8-K filing submitted by Strive and Strategy on Monday will confirm the actual number of Bitcoins purchased with the related funds. As of October 2, Strive held 29,462 Bitcoins, having purchased 2,000 between September 28 and October 2 at an average price of approximately $84,422. Strategy did not sell any STRC between September 28 and October 4, instead acquiring 334 Bitcoins solely through the sale of MSTR common stock.
