AI Credit Pressure Intensifies, South Korea's KOSPI Index Plummets 14.5%
PANews reported on October 22 that QCP Capital analysis pointed out that negotiations in the Strait of Hormuz have stalled, escalating geopolitical conflicts and raising concerns over energy supply. The U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve has dropped to 283 million barrels, a year-on-year decrease of 30.5%. Regarding AI financing risks, CoreWeave's CDS spread has risen to 1,128 basis points, far exceeding Oracle's 300 basis points, with the credit spread in the tech sector continuing to widen. South Korea's KOSPI index plummeted 14.5%, marking the largest drop since October 2008, with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix shares both falling between 17% and 24%. Additionally, Strategy faces potential exclusion risks from the MSCI November index review, while the pace of Bitcoin purchases has slowed. QCP Capital reminds that the market is focused on whether the energy risk premium can be sustained and whether the credit pressure in the tech sector will further spread.
