SBI Holdings and Startale Join Open Standard to Explore Interoperability Between JPYSC and OUSD
SBI Holdings and Startale have announced their participation in the Open Standard to explore interoperability between OUSD and JPYSC, aiming to enhance the international liquidity of yen-denominated assets. The two companies will deepen their collaboration with the global partner network of Open Standard to build a secure, trustworthy, and interoperable stablecoin ecosystem. SBI Holdings Chairman Yoshitaka Kitao stated that by participating in the Open Standard and exploring the concept validation of interoperability between OUSD and JPYSC, the SBI Group has become the first company in Japan to offer dollar-denominated stablecoins USDC and RLUSD, and will continue to promote the broader adoption of digital assets. Startale CEO Sota Watanabe emphasized the significance of piloting interoperability between JPYSC and OUSD, noting that the yen and the dollar are the two most powerful and trusted currencies globally, and seamless on-chain exchange and usage could unlock significant opportunities. JPYSC is a yen-denominated, trust-backed stablecoin issued by SBI Shinsei Trust Bank Limited. Open Standard is a stablecoin alliance composed of over 140 leading global companies committed to promoting the adoption of the Open USD (OUSD).
