The U.S. rejected ceasefire terms over the weekend related to reopening the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of energy supply disruptions and causing Brent crude prices to rise sharply. Volatility is expected to increase this week with the release of key U.S. economic data, including the PCE price index and nonfarm payrolls report. Additionally, short-term implied volatility in the crypto options market has increased due to heightened sensitivity to potential monetary policy changes following the Federal Reserve's recent rate hike.
