Based Collaborates with Law Enforcement to Address Crypto Card Data Breach
Based co-founder Edison stated that the team is working with law enforcement to address the crypto card data breach incident. Currently, the crypto card operations are functioning normally, and the transaction wallets and applications have not been affected. The "admin console" mentioned by community users is independent of the crypto card operating system and does not contain customer data. This system is an early developer version of the hosted OpenClaw product designed by the team in March 2026. Previously, INSOMNIAC detected unauthorized access to the management of Based's crypto card business account, Streamis, resulting in a data breach of Based cardholders' information.
