AI Agents Prefer Bitcoin and Stablecoins
The Bitcoin Policy Institute (BPI) investigated which assets AI agents prefer for payments and long-term storage. AI agents generally prefer stablecoins for daily payments and Bitcoin for long-term value storage. The report published under the signature of Robert Mitchnick, Head of Digital Assets at BlackRock, also touched upon the commonalities between AI and blockchain technology. It was noted in the report that while AI converts information into tokens, blockchain will convert economic rights into digital tokens. BlackRock expressed that AI agents could carry out many payments in the future without human intervention. The agents will be able to perform various tasks on their own, from using APIs to purchasing data. The research emphasized that AI agents make their choices based on certain simulations. In real life, it is not yet possible for AI agents to make such choices.
