PowerCompute Mines 8.1 Bitcoin In September, Reduces Debt By 22.45 Million
PowerCompute mined 8.1 BTC in September, a 37% increase from 5.9 BTC a year earlier. The company's Bitcoin holdings fell to 63.7 BTC from 323.02 BTC at the end of August after using 267.4 BTC to settle a Bitcoin-backed credit facility, eliminating approximately 22450000 dollars in obligations and reducing secured debt from about 23700000 dollars to 1250000 dollars. The remaining debt is not secured by Bitcoin. PowerCompute's September production was also up from 7.9 BTC in August. The company operates 26 megawatts of power infrastructure in Oklahoma and Mississippi and is exploring high-performance computing and AI-related infrastructure. It generated about 89000 dollars from selling electricity back to the grid during peak heat periods, totaling roughly 312000 dollars in energy sales for the three months ended September. The strategy now includes Bitcoin production, power-market economics, debt reduction, and potential data-center expansion.
