Polkadot Community Foundation Proposal Launches DOT-Collateralized Stablecoin dotUSD
The Polkadot Community Foundation has submitted the "Wish For Change" proposal to Polkadot OpenGov, aiming to establish a strategic direction for the DOT DAO with a priority on user growth. The proposal plans to launch a DOT-collateralized stablecoin, dotStables (such as dotUSD), using an over-collateralization model inspired by the Liquity protocol, converting stablecoin demand into DOT demand. Additionally, the proposal aims to deploy a Polkadot product platform to enhance user experience, utilizing a freemium model and a mobile-first strategy, with free allowances distributed through the identity verification system "Individuality." Incentives for the DOT DAO will be allocated to individual users based on on-chain logic with user limits. This proposal is currently in the preparation stage and has not yet entered the voting phase.
