Critical Fix Package for XRP Ledger May Go Live on October 23
A technical fix and improvements are set to be implemented on the XRP Ledger network. The activation process for the change named fixCleanup3_4_0 began on October 5, 2026, with the earliest activation time determined to be October 23, 2026, at 09:34 UTC. To enforce the change, validator support must remain above 80%. Currently, 26 out of 32 validators have voted in favor, resulting in a support rate of 81.25%. The package includes components such as Single Asset Vaults, Lending Protocol, automated market makers, a permissioned DEX structure, trust line records, NFTs, MPTs, Escrow, Sponsorship, and transaction signing. A significant vulnerability is being addressed on the Permission Delegation side; until this fix is activated, users cannot delegate the PaymentBurn permission. The fix package keeps deleted area proposals on the permissioned DEX outside of immutability checks. Two separate issues are also addressed in AMMClawback transactions. Precision and rounding issues in VaultDeposit, VaultWithdraw, and VaultClawback transactions are corrected with this package. The goal is to maintain the integrity of the calculations between a vault's total tracked assets, available assets, and share supply.
