The non-fungible token (NFT) trading platform Blur will cease its website operations on November 12. While the blockchain-based NFT trading protocol will continue to operate, new loan connections for the NFT collateral lending service Blend will be suspended. The Blur Foundation announced on X that "the frontend operation of blur.io will be discontinued starting November 12, 2026." The frontend supports users in searching and trading NFTs on the website. Blur explained that the blockchain-based NFT trading protocol will continue to operate, and its native coin BLUR controls the protocol's fee switch. Blend is a service that allows users to borrow virtual assets using NFTs as collateral; while new loan connections will be halted, existing borrowers can repay their loans or risk default. Blur plans to provide a separate web tool to allow users to withdraw assets stored in Blend even after operations cease. Specific schedules and usage methods have not been disclosed.
