Bitcoin Could Reach $400,000 by 2030, According to Coinbase CEO
In an interview for the Money Rehab podcast, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong reaffirmed his prediction that Bitcoin could reach $400,000 by 2030, while BTC is currently around $63,000. Armstrong specified that this prediction is speculative and that past performance does not guarantee future results. He emphasized that Bitcoin has been one of the best-performing assets over the last decade and generally moves in four-year cycles. He mentioned that Bitcoin halvings, which reduce the reward for miners by half, could contribute to this increase, with the next halving expected in April 2028. Armstrong also discussed the CLARITY Act in the United States, which aims to clarify the distinction between cryptocurrencies and financial securities. Although this bill could energize the crypto sector, it is not part of the components of his $400,000 prediction. For the end of the year, Armstrong estimated a price target for Bitcoin between $80,000 and $90,000, while the current price is around $83,000.
